...and my heart leaps for joy...

Psalm 28:7
"My heart leaps for joy
and I will give thanks to Him in song."

Tonight Stan and Tommy were my body guards at the grocery store.  (Kroger can be a very scary place!) Jason tells them to go with me...and to "protect Mrs. Robin."  It is their job and they do it proudly!  (and I just appreciate someone else pushing the heavy basket!!!)  None the less me and my two body guards head to Kroger.  I always let whoever goes and helps me pick out a treat.  Tommy picked coffee (for in the a.m.) (like that kiddo needs ANY more caffine!!)  And Stan picked cake mix.  He has always wanted to help me make a cake.  (And even though Wed is our cleaning day...and even though my floors were so clean you could eat off of them...ok maybe not that clean...but they were clean!!...)  Stan and I made a cake.  And yes there was cake mix everywhere...but it made his night.  He was so proud of that cake!!! But what he was more proud of was that he got to help!

Rob, your blogspot makes my heart joyful! So glad you are so happy with your "new" job! You were certainly great at your old one! Are the guys practicing their Elvis karaoke?

Robinbird - love the blog. Its a great idea. AND YOU are adorable!!!!!

Monday Monday...

I know that most people dread monday.  But I have to say (most of you will not like this...)I love mondays!  Sometimes the weekend gets so busy that I enjoy getting back to "life" on monday.

Here is a picture of one of our guys.  Charles.

We were on the go pretty much the whole weekend.  And if Jason and I want to get to do something...guess what boys...you are coming with us!  Charles is very (and when I say very I mean very) content sitting in his room with his things.  But we had them moving and shaking this weekend.

For those of you who know Charles you know that we love to share some of the things that he says...

Here are a few from this weekend...

Friday at work he told Dana (one of the Haven Staff) "Dana, you should run for President."

Here is another classic Charles...

Sunday after church we were eating lunch...(yes at Taco Bell) and this young guy came in wearing a uniform.  Yes he looked like a pilot but I think he was a post office guy.  Whatever.  To Charles he was a pilot.  He points over to the guy and says..."Robin, that there pilot is your boyfriend!"

Once again...Classic Charles!

Everybody give a hand for...one of our favorite residents...the quoteable Charles Jones!!!
